Headbands

There is nothing more frustrating than frizzy and untamed summer hair, literally it's the worst. Bad hair days can ruin many things, but your summer should not be one of them. Headbands are a trendy alternative to the untamed mess of hair a beach day often leaves you with. There are so many new options for headbands, from twist-knot, to beaded, to embellished, headbands have come a long way. Headbands are a must have accessory for this summer, they can add texture and color to any outfit, while also keeping your flyaway's tamed.

Color of the Season..Emerald Green

So every spring and summer season the fashion world names a new "it" color. The color that you must have for your wardrobe or else you're way behind on trends. This season the color the fashion experts have named the "seasons color" is emerald green. Last season mint green just was not bold enough to make the cut, so instead the better and bolder, emerald green is the color to wear. Emerald green is emerging everywhere, from handbags, headbands, phone cases, and dresses, you can't seem to miss it. I'll show you some of the latest items that have emerged on the fashion scene in this seasons "it" color.

Outfits For A Rainy Day

You know Spring has officially sprung, when rain boots become a wardrobe staple. No one wants to risk ruining their favorite flats stomping through puddles. Rain boots are never something you look forward to wearing, and not the most comfortable shoe, yet they are still functional and appropriate.
Here, I will show you some cute way to work rain boots into outfits for class and weekends.

If you're running to a few classes you may opt for a comfy outfit. I find leggings or straight leg yoga pants work best when tucking them into rain boots. Paired with a comfy sweater, casual tank top, and some jewelry the outfit still looks put together. You can even add printed or colored leggings if you're feeling bold!

This outfit is perfect for a weekend out with friends and family. Pairing colored skinny jeans with a basic tank and a sheer, lightweight cardigan, creates a casual yet fashionable outfit. Adding in statement jewelry pieces completes the outfit, and adds extra pops of color.

Guide to Spring and Summer Footwear

Transitioning from the cool winter months, into the warming spring and summer temperatures, footwear changes. Finding the appropriate shoe for this time can be a challenge. Here I will show you fashionable and functional footwear for the transition of seasons. Make sure to invest in at least one awesome pair of flats, wedges, and sandals!

Flats: Flats are a great way to make any outfit appear more put together, and elegant. Compared to sneakers, flats are chic. Outfits out of magazines often pair the clothing with heels, which for occasions such as going to class, is just not realistic. Flats are both comfortable and stylish when paired with casual wear. Whether you are running errands, meeting up with friends, or going on a date, flats are the perfect choice. Investing in one great neutral pair of flats is sure to get you through the spring and summer season in style. Below I will show you some basic neutral flats as wardrobe staples, but also colorful and printed flats that are sure to bring some life to any outfit.

Sandals: Ranging from flat sandals, wedges, and four inch heels, when it comes to warm weather there are unlimited options. Flat sandals are perfect for traveling and dressing comfortably and casually. Wedges are so comfortable and easy to walk in, they are perfect for summer lunch dates or nights out. Sandals that have a heel are appropriate for more formal occasions, or even a late night out with friends. No matter what you are doing this spring and summer, a great pair of flat sandals, a wedge, and heel are must have items for your wardrobe.  Below I will provide you with a bunch of different sandals for all different events you may encounter this spring or summer.

Totes, Clutches, and Luggage

Whether you are looking for a tote to carry books to class, or a small clutch to bring out to lunch, or travel luggage, you have come to the right spot. Here you will find the newest spring and summer arrivals. Zippers, studs, and embellishments are trends that will appear often when looking for the right bag. Colorful bags are something I am also seeing more frequently. Adding a colorful tote to any outfit is sure to brighten it up and add some interest. When traveling, always make sure it is in style! Don't drag out that old suitcase you have had since you were going to grandmas for the night. Really invest in some adult luggage that you won't be embarrassed to grab at the luggage claim. Instead of dragging your huge tote that you use for class, put your essentials into a trendy clutch. They are perfect for carrying your iphone, credit cards, license, and some make up!
