From Class to a Night Out: Maxi Dresses

This spring and summer season, maxi dresses are all the rage. Simple and chic, they are a must have staple in your wardrobe. Maxi dresses can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on what you pair with them. During the summer months especially, throwing on a dress to go out in is the easiest thing, Since the dresses are so long it makes them a little warmer, which is perfect for a late lunch or dinner when the sun is starting to go down. Some may shy away from the dresses because of the length if you are petite like I am. Being 5 foot 2 inches I have this problem often, but hemming is a quick fix and usually inexpensive.

Knitted Maxi's are essential for casual look.  When paired with sandals and simple jewelry this effortless look is perfect for a day in class or running errands.

When paired with some killer heels, and a statement necklace, maxi dresses are perfect for a night out. This outfit is classy and elegant for any evening occasion, or even just a night out with some friends. The material of the dress is light, so you wont be overheating when wearing this on a hot summer night.

  1. Your About Me and Description fulfill their purpose well. the description is quite specific about the type of fashion advice you will be providing which will be perfect for you audience. I personally like your style and like that you are promoting tasteful and mature styles for college, which will be very helpful to people looking for jobs or grad-school after college. Too many sweats PJ pants make you look sloppy to your professors and advisers! They're the ones writing your recommendations! I look forward to seeing more posts.

  2. The “About me” section captured the blogger quite well; she is a young twenty-something, interested in fashion, attending university. She will be easily relatable to her audience.

The blog description was spot on. As a reader, I’d expect to get fashion tips for people that want to stay “trendy”, but with a mind to comfort (school), ease, and budget.

The author starts the foundation of her blog with what she considers a foundation piece of clothing. Makes perfect sense to me.

  3. Your "about me" was clever and relateable. Your blog description was clear on what you were going to write about on your blog. Your first post was definitely a great read. I loved that you gave your readers the places where you could find the items you were writing about. So far great job, keep up the good work.
